T-Shirt Contest- Due 5/25
Would you like to submit a design for our annual band T-shirt? The 7th graders will be choosing a winning design on 5/26 and we will reveal the winning design at the end of year picnic!
We will have the band logo on the front and you will just need to design the back of the shirt.
You can submit on a blank sheet of paper or use the link below.
6th and 7th grade auditions will take place the week of May 2nd. We hope to post the results on Saturday May 7th. For results, music, and information please click the button below.
8th grade students have audition material from both Wakeland and Frisco High available on the same link below.
BPA Nominations and Announcements
Your SMSBPA Board has already begun preparing for next year. Now is a great time to get involved. Please review the following paperwork and let us know if you have any questions.
Honor Band will have two rehearsals after school on Wednesday 5/18 & Thursday 5/19 from 3:45-5:00. These rehearsals is for the full band (including percussion) to prepare for our concert on Monday. Both rehearsals are mandatory.

Good Morning Rogers 6/3
Friday 6/3/16 7:30a-9:15a
Concert, Honor, and Symphonic Bands have been invited to play at Rogers Elementary on the final day of school! This annual tradition has the band performing at the final ‘Good Morning Rogers’ as a special send off for the 5th graders. We will be playing in the back of the school (East side). If you are bringing your child back to Staley please check the appropriate box on the permission slip.
Student Drop Off: Parents may drop students off at Rogers (or students can walk) but they should arrive no earlier than 7:35. We will meet at the back of the school by the gym. Students who meet us there should not uncase or play until the rest of the band is present. Transportation to Rogers at 7:40am is not provided.
Dress: Band T-shirt and shorts. Students can bring a change of clothes for when we get back to Staley.
What to bring: Be sure you have your flip folder, music, folding stand (if needed), and your instrument.
Equipment Truck: We will load the equipment truck after our performance on Thursday evening at the band party. All percussion and large instruments should be loaded on the bus after the performance. If you will not be at the party you will need to make sure someone loads your instrument for you.
School Instruments: If 8th graders have their high school instruments they are welcome to use them. Otherwise students will use the instruments that have been checked out to them for the performance. Students are still liable for any damage that might occur for this performance. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!
