General Information

The annual band fundraiser has begun!    All band students were walked through the order form, prizes, and general outline of the fundraiser during their class time.  Our goal is to have every band member participate in our fundraiser by selling, purchasing, or making a direct donation.  Remember that this fundraiser benefits EVERY student in the band!

Schedule and Prizes

Important Dates
  • Thursday September 25th: Fundraiser Kick Off
  • Tuesday October 10th: All forms and money due

  • Mid November: Items and Prizes arrive

Prize/Incentive Outline:
  • Prizes for 4, 8 and 12 items sold
  • 20 Items sold, students will receive a Retro TV Magnifier
  • 35 Items sold, students will receive a Bluetooth speaker OR AR Racer
  • 55 Items sold, students will receive a Bluetooth headphones or $25 
  • 75 Items sold, students will receive Body Bubble or $50 
  • 100 Items sold, students will receive a Turntable or $100 
  • 125 Items sold, students will receive a 40" Smart TV or $250
Turning in fundraiser forms
  • Please double (and triple) check that the items ordered and the money return matches up.
  • All checks should be made out to SMSBPA.  Please have them write your or your child's name in the memo line.
  • Turn in BOTH pages of the order form.  Students will receive another copy of who they sold to when their items come in.  Please be sure to write legibly, especially when totaling money.
  • All items ordered and payed using the QR code (discussed during the presentation) should have a confirmation number listed.
  • Online sales should not be listed on your order form but students SHOULD include this amount in the total sales when deciding which prize level to pick from.
  • If you forgot to mark what prizes you would like, Mr. Wood or Ms. Hoffman will be choosing for you.

Delivery Day
  • Students will receive all prizes and items in the same package.
  • Delivery day will be confirmed a day or two ahead of time.
  • Students who walk home should make arrangements if they multiple boxes.
  • If there are any prize or item issues (damaged, missing, etc.) you should call the company directly.  They will ship the damaged or missing items directly to you

Why does the Staley Band do an 'all band' fundraiser?
Every year the band department strives to give every child an amazing experience in band!  While the school budget helps cover many costs for your band student, there just simply isn't enough money to do all the activities we want to do with our students.  While we do many small events to raise funds (spirit nights, pre-concert meals, kiss-o-grams, etc.) this is the only fundraiser we ask the students to take a major role in.  The money raised will be used to help us lower the cost of reward trips, bring in clinicians and judges, and purchase any necessary supplies that are needed and cannot be covered with the school budget.

Direct Donations
Your family CAN make a direct donation to the BPA if you choose not to participate in the fundraiser.  Like the fundraiser, please make all payments out to SMSBPA and return it in an envelope marked ‘Fundraiser Donation’ with your child’s name on it.  If you (or family members) would prefer to donate online CLICK HERE.

Reminders from the Presentation
  • The general goal for all students is to sell 15 items or consider making a $50-$100 direct donation.
  • Students are encouraged NOT to go door-to-door
  • Parents ARE encouraged to take the flyer to work and sell to their co-workers!
  • Items will be delivered in November with prizes.  We should receive items the week before Thanksgiving break.

​When the Items Arrive
  • The items should arrive well before Thanksgiving.
  • Before we send the items home we will be checking to make sure you have everything you need during class.
  • Students who walk or ride a bike home will need to make alternate arrangements if they sell a lot of items.
  • If there is a problem with your order you will need to work directly with the customer support line (do not contact the band staff)​
